Merry Christmas, from Woodlee Junction!!!

The Woodless have been missing for a while. We didn't really know where they'd gone.

Turns out, they got this awesome job with the North Pole as "Kindness Elves" which sounds pretty awesome.

They're back now. Little by little they're returning, and it sounds like they had a super great time helping kids be kinder for Christmas.

But it also sounds like they're glad to be home.

Welcome home, little Woodlees! Merry Christmas!!!

Woodlee Computer Expert, Maggie - by Wendy

Things have been just crazy in Woodlee Junction.

A whole heap of Woodlees went to Norm's to find homes on Wednesday. 20 little Woodlees looking for homes.

And now, just three days later, there are only SEVEN still looking for homes!

WOW!!

So things have been super busy since June 1st, when the Woodlees first became available for adoption from Norm's Dollhouse.

Things got missed. Important things, like the arrival of the Woodlees in Hittyville.

Wendy doll and SuzieQ sent us more pictures, but everyone was too busy to upload them.

It was just getting ridiculous, and something had to be done.

So we hired Maggie, our new internet genius and public relations specialist.

She mostly seems to hang out at Norm's and works on her trusty laptop. She said it's quieter there, and Norm's has good wifi.

Welcome, Maggie! And thanks for coming! I feel more organized already!

Pictures From a Woodlee Friend - by Wendy

Wendy here. Hello!

I first started making Woodlees because a lady name Julianne came into Norm's with some little wooden, bendy dolls she ordered online, and I thought they were sorta cute.  They were mass produced, and missing "something" and that's what lead me to make my own.

Julianne adopted the first Woodlee ever to leave Woodlee Junction. She told me her little red headed Woodlee's name is Wendy.:)

She sent me pictures of Wendy Woodlee hanging out with her friend SuzieQ at Susie's house.

Wendy is happy to hang out with SuzieQ while she's waiting for her family to arrive.

Wendy's family will probably get their own house once they're all there. But SuzieQ doesn't seem to mind having a roommate until then.

Julianne says the pair do everything together and are the best of friends.

They can frequently be found just hanging out, enjoying the Summer.

And here they are visiting with SusieQ's grandparents. Wendy is just like one of the family. :)

Julianne doesn't have a blog or Flickr for her dolls and the gorgeous dollhouses she build (though I'm trying to talk her into one), so she let me post her pictures here. :)

It makes me so happy to see one of the Woodlees out and about and having a great life with a new Companion. If you've got a Woodlee, but don't have a blog or a way to share pictures, email them to me (wendy at normsdollhouse dot com) with details about your doll and their new life and I'll post them here!

Hope you're having a wonderful Monday! Thanks for reading my blog!  :)

Eve & the Construction Site

Today, I get to help with a construction project!

This green bungalow will house several Woodlees when we get it all done. This is the porch light. Nice, huh?

Nice, spacious living room.

This will be the kitchen, and they've got a super cute kitchen set picked out for in here.

Upstairs has been a bit of a dilemma, though.

A house full of girls will require a bathroom, right? But it needs lots of space for girls to sleep in too.

They picked out a pretty cute bathroom set, though none of them were really in love with it. But it just didn't feel like this was the best way to utilize the space up here.

Well, before we could do ANYTHING at all with the space, we needed to run wire. So everything had to come out.

Except these pieces, which will be very important later. I can't wait to show you.

But first, as I said, electrical!

And then TAH-DAH! They're lofts! Cute, huh?

This should give the girls lots of space to sleep and read and stuff. I think this is going to be a neat room.

And they still get a little bathroom, just with a slightly better use of the space above! How exciting!

There's a lot more work to do, but I think we made a great start! Back to it tomorrow!

Eve & the Big Bunny

I met a giant bunny. Well, he's not so giant for a bunny, but he seemed giant to me.

He's been gone for a while, but he's back now. He said he'd seen Norm's before, but it was a long time ago.

He seemed very excited that there were dolls in Woodlee Junction (though he kept calling it "The Wylde Kingdom" maybe that's our neighbors?) Oh, and his name is Gage.

I had lots of ideas to tell him about.

I get ideas for things, just hanging around at Norm's. Like these little, tiny houses.

My idea? Teeny Tiny Town! Like the Tiny Town in Colorado, only for Woodlees and a LOT smaller (it's not so Tiny to a Woodlee). With trains and everything!

I've only seen Tiny Town in pictures on the computer. But I think our houses would be just as nice as theirs. And they're about the right size.

And so cute!

Gage asked me what my job at Woodlee Junction was.

I told him I wasn't really sure. I'm doll hostess a lot. I help the new Woodlees find homes. But mostly I come up with ideas.

He said my job sounded a lot like a "muse" and you know what? I like the sound of that!

Eve Woodlee, Muse of Woodlee Junction! Nice!

Eve & the Woodlee Helpers

We keep bringing new, adoptable Woodlees to Norm's Dollhouse.

And they keep getting adopted and finding new homes right away! Like these four who are on their way to Hittyville.

Sally and I always tell the rest that they'll find homes right away too, and they always do!

New Woodlees are coming and going all the time now, it seems like. But maybe you'd like to know a little about what goes on behind the scenes, to get all these little ladies ready to go home to you?

One Woodlee we could not do without is Ashley. She's our official seamstress, and she's AMAZING! She makes all the dresses and clothing for us, and I think she does great!

And another very helpful Woodlee is our hairdresser, Mindy. For now, new Woodlees can make an appointment with her for a hair cut and style in Ashley's kitchen, but I think she's thinking about opening a salon! I really think she should (and so does Ashley. She's sick of sweeping up hair!)

I've got more helpers too (like me and Sally!) but I ran out of pictures. I have more, but they are on the OTHER computer, I think. I will get used to this computer thing someday.

So that's all for now. Thanks for reading!

Woodlees: Ready to Go! - By Wendy

It's finally here. The day the Woodlees go off to find their new homes.

Eve and Sally have been a big help with putting together all the new Woodlees.

Each one is made by hand, so I knew there would be variations, but it surprised me how individual they all were. Each one, like a little wooden person!

I started with the girls. They're the easiest for me to make clothes for, and it just seemed like a good place to start. So I got them fixed up, and then they hung around the Larimer Shop for a bit in their dressing gowns.

But once they were ready to go, WOW were they ready to go! Anxious to start their new adventures, they all headed off to Norm's Dollhouse.

Sally offered to be the photographer, and take portraits of everyone to put on the webpage so they could find new homes.

It was hard getting the girls to stand still so she could photograph them, but Sally finally got them settled.

You'll be able to see Sally's pictures, and bring home a Woodlee of your own, on this webpage - Woodlee Junction Dolls at Norm's later today (June 1st).

I'm excited to see where they go, and what people think of them. My hope is that people will love them as much as I do and that they encourage people to play, like they encourage me.  :)

Let me know if you get a Woodlee! Have a great weekend!
